Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan on Friday, expressed frustration in the efforts of his administration against the Islamic sect, Boko Haram, admitting that the frustration was both internal and external.

The president made this known, speaking as host to Nollywood and music stars under the auspices of 'Creative Professionals' who paid him a courtesy visit att the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Jonathan admitted that such sabotage was frustrating.

The team of entertainers was led by Nollywood star, Segun Arinze.

The president however expressed optimism that his government would soon achieve success in the fight against terrorism.

He however did not explain further on the nature of the sabotage or whether the saboteurs are in the government or in the military.

“One of our greatest challenges is this insecurity. We have our frustrations, we have issues of sabotage: internal and external, but we are working very hard and by the grace of God, we will overcome”, President Goodluck said.

Jonathan further said the country was also facing problems of infrastructure but said his administration was committed to expanding the horizon in all the sectors including transportation, aviation, ports, roads and power infrastructure.

While lauding members of the entertainment industry for creating positive image for the country, the President regretted that most politicians only generate negative issues.

“Most of us politicians are just busy generating negative issues.

Everyday, they talk about corruption, governance and other issues. It is you that pump the positive news into the system”, the president said.

Actor, Segun Arinze praised Jonathan for the support his administration has been giving to the creative industry, saying that it was new in the history of Nigeria for the movie industry to receive such recognition.

"Your uncommon transformation has seen many of us travel to the best film schools around the globe to receive training we could only have dreamt about.

We have received grants to make better films whereas we could not previously access loans.

Under your administration, many of our members have received national honours, many of our members have gotten political appointments", Arinze said.

Commending the President on his strides in the different sectors of the economy, Arinze urged him to remain focused and continue the good work.
