Earlier this week, there were reports that the recently sacked Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi was to be in Ethopia to finalize a contract to coach their national team. The Ethopian Football Association has however denied these reports.

The Ethopian Football Association has denied ever getting an application from Stephen Keshi. This was disclosed by a journalist with the Ethopian  Broadcasting corporation, Taddeshp Mandefro, who said he asked the Ethopian FA president about the issue.

The Ethopian FA president, Juneidin Basha gave a negative answer.

Mandefro said "I spoke with the EFA president Juneidin Basha yesterday on the report of Keshi taking over and he said the EFA have not received any application from Keshi for the EFA job.

Mariano Barreto remains the coach of the Ethopian National team. Even though he is not doing too well right now, the EFA have not mentioned anything about sack", he said.

The former Super Eagles coach however does not seem to be in a hurry concerning a new job.

Stephen Keshi, when asked about the Ethopian coaching job, said "Ethopia is a great country that's all. No more comments".

Stephen Keshi was reported to 'just want to rest'.
