Stephen Keshi Hails Super Eagles

Nigeria's Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi commended his team for their display agaimst South Africa on Wednesday's 2015 Africa Nations Cup Qualifier in Cape Town.

 The Super Eagles drew 0-0 against the Bafana Bafana following last Saturday's loss to Congo in Calabar. Stephen Keshi spoke on the match.

"The game was not bad. I thought it was good tactical play and good play by Bafana. There was a bit of improvement from my players", he said. "a lot better than what we did on Saturday". He said this at a conference after the match.

Congo currently occupies the group's summit with six points from two games while South Africa stays in second place with four points. 

Nigeria sits currently in the third position with a point from two matches. Sudan however sits at the bottom of the pile with no points from two games.

"We have not been together and it's taking time to gel", says the Super Eagles coach, who explained that it would have been asking for too much to expect his wards to reach similar heights.

"I'm not satisfied, but I liked what I saw", he said.

In other matches played on Wednesday, Malawi beat Ethopia 3-2, while Angola lost at home 0-3 to Burkina Faso. 

Lesotho had a 1-1 draw with Gabon, Cameroon trashed Cote d'Ivoire 4-1, Uganda humbled Guinea with 2-0,  while Cape Verde also won Zambia 2-0.

DR Congo recorded a 2-0 victory over Sierra Leone, the same way Senegal defeated Botswana in Gaborone.

Mozambique had a draw of 1-1, while Ghana defeated Togo with 3-2 in Accra. Egypt lost at home to Tunisia 0-1.

The top two teams in each group qualify for the tournament in Morocco next year.
