The Super Eagles' coach Stephen Keshi has officially accepted the offer made by NFF to stay on as the coach of the National football team.

His official acceptance letter was passed on by one of the assistant coaches. Stephen Keshi's contract as Super Eagles coach ended afterl World Cup which held in Brazil. The coach, after being the Super Eagles coach for three years had told the world that he would like to take up other offers after Eagles Round of 16 loss in the World Cup to France.

The relationship between Keshi and the NFF had been rocky and unsteady. This manifested itself in the fact that he accused the NFF of being unprofessional and saying the conditions under which he was to work were too unpleasant for him to operate. The coach was allegedly saddened by the NFF not providing him an official residence and car in the new contract. The NFF and Keshi however seem to have amended their differences and prepared to start on a fresh page, especially after the sack of former NFF president Alhaji Aminu Maigari.

It is alleged that Keshi has asked the NFF to provide him with an official residence and car with the renewal of his contract. He also asked for his salary to be paid on time, and to have full control of hiring and oversight of those working under him.

This is coming as Nigeria's Super Eagles get ready to face Rwanda in a match fixed for the 7th of September. This will be the first qualifying match for the Africa Cup of Nations which is scheduled to take place in Morocco in the year 2015.
