A word from
NSU President
( 2013 to May 2014 and 2014 to May 2015)Man

"The task of a leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been. And the task of leadership is not to put greatness into humanity, but to elicit it, for the greatness is already there."

These have been my leading principle, and with the great people and executive that God has put around me, our goals were reached.

First, let me give Glory and Honour to the Most High God for His overwhelming Grace all these years of achievements and for overcoming the challenges.
The production of this project “2nd Edition of the INSIGHT MAGAZINE”, with the help of great intellectuals, with great minds in PFUR is not only a success but also a great structure laid on the foundation of the first edition. It's my joy that my administration did not only initiated it but also built and sustained it, hence this second EDITION.

By the time this 2nd Edition will be lunched, my tenure must have ended and a new administration will be on-board. I pray they continue this great work started.

Nigerian Students Union PFUR in my first and second tenures with the hardwork of my executives and some handful Nigerians has been able to lift Nigeria higher and has made Nigeria a household name in PFUR.

In my first tenure we took Nigeria up to the 2nd best/the most active association in PFUR amongst over 140 Nations. But this time (in my second tenure), Nigerian Students Union became the best and first amongst 150 natons, of which 44 of it are African countries. And the President “your humble servant" was awarded the best and most active President/Leader amongst other African presidents.

During these tenures, the academic performances of Nigerian Students rose to about 85%. The UNION under my leadership for the first time in this UNION and University did not only initiated, but also successfully get two Editions of the INSIGHT Magazine produced. And, for the first time in the history of the UNION, we initiated and produced the first Album for the Graduates (2014).

And also initiated, implemented and sustained Inter Hostel football march every end of session in honour of the graduates, this is to enhance the relationships amongst Nigerian Students studying in PFUR.

We also successfully amended the constitution of the Union and address therein all the conflicting issues that has bedeviled the Union in the constitution before it amendement.

Also, for the first time we initiated and in conjunction with the Nigerian Embassy and The BA students organised Miss Nigeria Russia 2014. And the second edition of the Miss Nigeria-Russia 2015 was successfully organized under my leadership as the Secretary of Education & Students Affair(s) Nigerian Community Russian Federation.

In all these, I would like to say that, serving this UNION, Nigerians and Nigeria has been another stage of experience...A great experience!

Sometimes, stepping on toes is a necessity in leadership that must be done in order to achieve the necessary achievements our dear nation and Union deserve.

It was tough, but we had to deliver at all cost to fulfil the responsibility of a good leadership that was promised when we took office.

One thing that has kept us going and overcoming challenges, is the desire to win and the desire for success. No matter the challenges success is possible and failure and limitation do not exist in a real sense, these are only fallacy and facade to intimidate those seeking to achieve
success.

I would like to use this medium to say thank you to those that have been before me and to those that stood by me and believed and still believe in me. You are all indeed great team mates.

Special thanks to the people that worked tirelessly behind the scene to ensure the betterment of this our great Union. Your supports gave me a conviction that no matter the challenges Nigeria still has trusted potentials.

Also, sincere appreciation to the Nigerian Embassy in Moscow, Russia, the Chage d'Affairs Mr. Gafai Ibrahim Usman, the First Secretary of Education Nigerian Embassy Russia Mr. Maxwell Anu-Okeke and the entire staff of the Embassy for the continuous support and encouragement.

And lastly, a big thanks to the rector of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, “Doctor in physical and mathematical sciences, professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Education” Vladimir Mikhailovich Filippov and the entire administration and staff of PFUR for their continuous support all the way.

The Journey might not had been all rosy, but every step was worth it...

Finally, my advice to you all is, be a patriot of our dear Union, and Nation at large. Do not be subjected as an instrument of destruction to this Great Union.

Let continue to join hands to work for Success...

Do keep the flag flying, as we continue to work together at my new level of leadership as the the Secretary of Education and Students
Affairs, Nigerian Community, Russian Federation.

None of these would have been possible without you all. From the depth of my heart, I say A VERY BIG THANK YOU!

Ladies and gentlemen I welcome you to the second edition of NSU PFUR INSIGHT Magazine.

God bless NSU!

God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria!
