After a forced holiday occasioned by the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak, schools in at least 11 states of the country have resumed a new academic session today (Wednesday).

The Ebola disease entered the country of Nigeria when it was brought into the country in July by an infected Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer. Since then, about 20 citizens have been infected and 7 of that number have lost their lives to the disease.

Nigeria Is Totally Free From EVD - Chukwu

The Minister of Health for Nigeria, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu has said that the country of Nigeria is totally free of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease ravaging three West African countries (Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia). He also announced that the final victim contacts in the country who were under surveillance have all been released.
